Post
Hello! I, an Indian trained lawyer [B.A. LL.B], shall be joining the University of Cambridge (UK) for higher studies. I was hoping to know my chances of getting into top-notch business schools

Undergraduate course - B.A. LL.B (honours); Specialisation: Corporate Law and Trade & Investment Law [2013 - 2018]; CGPA - 8.34/10; Rank - 4/160
Postgraduate course - MCL (Master of Corporate Law) [October 2018 - June 2019]
Pre-qualification work experience - 28 months (work placements, internships, part-time employment)
Positions of Responsibility - Convener, Placement Committee
Voluntary Work - Founder-President of an NGO and working towards the integration of the tribal population in the mainstream society (2009 - ongoing)

Hello @Pranjal549

Wow, great coincidence. My brother is also going for LLM at Cambridge this October.
Your acads are good and professional background is unique, but I would advice you to gain some work ex before applying to top B schools.
Most top B Schools prefer to admit candidates with a few years of experience. Internships are not counted as full time work ex.
Make good use of your time at Cambridge, try to get some exposure to Judge (the B School at Cambridge) and attend some courses if possible.
This will give you a first hand experience, help you understand if an MBA meets your career goals and also help you in some research to build realistic career goals.
Good part is that you are planning ahead- you should read to help in your plan.
