Hi all,

First post on BTG, so be gentle. :)
Haas has a quant requirement, "quantitative proficiency" as they call it. What counts as quantitative proficiency? My GMAT is 710 with 47Q/40V. I'm an English major, but took Marketing, Financial Accounting, and Corporate Finance (did well in Accounting, not too much in Finance) at Berkeley (3.55 GPA). I've also taken Calculus, Statistics, and Econ at community college. Is this sufficient, or do I need to quickly take an extension course?

Some other info about me:
I'm 27 and currently a consultant for a mid-level firm. I'm also a fundraising volunteer at a local non-profit. I'm targeting Haas, Anderson, Marshall and other West US schools since that's where I'm from.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks!
JavertHL

From what you've written given your coursework and quant score it should be enough. Best would be to write the Adcom direct telling them your score and coursework and asking if it is sufficient. If you haven't used your math in a long time, it might be a good idea to show that you have a plan to take some pre-MBA calc and stat and maybe accounting courses before you matriculate.
