i was doing 1/2*1/2*1/2+1/2+1/2

Hi Gurpinder ,
Need to shed more light. Did not understand the reasoning behind
1/2*1/2*1/2+1/2+1/2
You need 3 favourable outcomes and your favourable outcome being a head .
Total number of outcomes when the coin is tossed = 2 ^ 5
Total number of favourable outcomes i.e. 3 heads and 2 Tails = 5C3 = 10
So probability = 10/32 = 5/16
