A number, x, is chosen at random from the set of positive integers less than 10. What is the probability that 9/x > x?
You need to post only DS questions in Data Sufficiency folder. Moved this thread to "Problem Solving" folder.
Coming to the question, Plugging in numbers is the best option.
The numbers that satisfy 9/x > x condition are 1 and 2 only. Total outcomes are 9 (Positive integers less than 10)
Probability (# of outcomes / Total # of outcomes) =
2 / 9
