A certain restaurant offers 6 kinds of cheese and 2 kinds of fruit for its dessert platter. if each dessert platter contains an equal numbr of kinds of cheese and kinds of fruit, how many different dessert platters could the restaurant offer?

Sophia,

so we can either have 1 cheese+1fruit combo OR 2 cheeses and 2 fruits combo

6c1 x 2c1 + 6c2 x 2c2 = (6 x 2) + (15 x 1) = 27

AcB means how many different B can we select out of A

6c1 x 2c1 + 6c2 x 2c2 = (6 x 2) + (15 x 1) = 27

Hey Logitech,

In your equation above, can you explain how 6c2 x 2c2 = (15 x 1)? I am not familiar with AcB expressions. Thx!
