2 teacher and 3 children queue up. There must be one teacher at the beginning and one teacher at the back. 3 children are in the middle. How many ways are possible?

The two teacher can occupy the beginning and end position in two ways. And for each of these two ways, the 3 students can occupy the middle 3 positions in 3*2*1 = 6 ways.

Hence, a total of 2*6 = 12 arrangements are possible.
