I have been in the same state as you are in now, when i started in the forum.
I accept my ignorance, but it was not intended to secure the first response stat.

I have my GMAT in a couple of days and was in a hurry to answer question which does not post a OA and IMO, in the first post.

Keep on the pressure on other members; will be glad if we change the way :)

OA is B


A. No. Idiom. People are "who" not "that". Also, this makes it sound as if the governor alone had been traveling together (whatever that means).

B. Yes. The meaning of this choice is clear. The meaning remains the same, eventhough the sentence structure is passive

C. No. Meaning. This choice makes it seem that these people were the first passengers on railroad cars who traveled to D.C., rather than just the first passengers on railroad cars.

D. No. This choice is a sentence fragment.

E. No. Meaning. They were the first passengers on railroad cars, not on railroad cars traveling to D.C

Dude....me too having the exam scheduled before the GMAT pattern changes. Maybe the administrator should set some word limit of atleast 30 words for each comment to post. That's the only way to make this happen.
Hope, let's be the first ones to start with this culture and will try to make others too.....Thanks anyway for your recent comments with explanation.
