As a concept once considered for a foundation of economic theory, the rational actor model may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists have provided more detailed information describing the emotional, familial, and historical factors that affect individual behavior in the marketplace.

Dear gmatmachoman,

I was stuck b/w B and E. How did you eliminate B?

Is it because of the usage "providing" ... psychologists are providing

Thanks,
Viju
"Native of" is used for a individual while "Native to" is used for a large group

i was to0 between B and E...

Picked E because of the tense...

Present continius is inappropriate as we dont want to mention an action which is ongoing, rather we are looking for a tense which describes the cause and effect in general...

So I feel "are providing " is incorrect and it should only be "provide"....

My pick is "E".

Answer choice B:

The rational actor model, a concept long considered the cornerstone of economic theory, may soon go the way of the Model T as psychologists are providing more detailed information about the emotional, family influence, and history that affect individual behavior in the marketplace.

that is pointing to only history affecting the behavior in the marketplace. In correct answer choice, all the three factors are affecting the individual behavior in the marketplace.
