I have trouble understanding the structure of B - "As with the case with traditional pharmacies" - what kind of modifier is this. Can someone explain this with some more example pls.

1. Comparison is under question here. As X, Y (X and Y need to be parallel, and preferably clauses(Sub+Verb); Like is used to compare nouns.

A: "it" - pronoun error - there is no singular reference to any noun
B: As noun, noun ; Like is preferred; to have success is weird also
C: As + verb(is) + subject (traditional pharmacies), prescriptions+ verb (Are) + subject (online drug store)
This is in line with the As X, Y where X and Y are clauses
D: As noun, noun
E: Like Noun, Wrong comparison (cornerstone)- if this had been Like Traditional pharmacies, Online drugstores...then it would have been correct

So C.

very good quesiton from gmatprep, the climax of comparison. only this question teach us all of comparision

in E, pharmacy can not be compare with cornerstone logically
in D, it is not logic to say drugstore is in capacity of pharmacies
in A, "it" have no referent
in B, "as with..." can not stand for " drugstore is with". a good example is "as with the hat , he is with the tie" is correct. I call this case ILLIPSIS IN COMPARISION. ILLISPSIS IN COMPARISON is impossible here.

we have 3 error for comparision( remember all of three errors are grammatical but not logic)

1, compare 2 noun which are not comparable logically-above example
2, compare 2 action which are not comparable logically. for example
she dances as she eats ..is wrong. but " she dances as she walks" is correct.
3, us illipsis comparision wrongly-above example

we now no more fear of comparision.
