2nd sentence is wrong because seniors themselves are not 25% of the student body. Seniors consist 25% of the student body and hence it would be correct in the below format:
Consisting only 25% of the student body, seniors get 50% of the resources.

Hope it helps!

'got' is wrong here because it has to be in simple present and not in simple past.
I have posted 1 way of correcting this sentence but there is another better way:

Although accounting for only 25% of the student body, seniors get 50% of the resources.

It clearly shows the comparison between the strength of seniors and their usage of the resources.

Hope it helps!
Kindly correct me if i am wrong.
