Preparing verbal from OG 12 edition

by gmattaker_15 » Mon Aug 27, 2012 2:38 am
Hi,
I am giving GMAT in november 2012. Since this would be the new pattern of GMAT (as changed from june 12), do u think any changes in verbal section of GMAT? As I understand there is no change in verbal/quant sections, so is it Ok if I start my studies from the OG 12 (I am assuming that there would not be much changes in the content as compare to OG 13..)?
Thanks.

You are right concerning the verbal and the quantitative section. You should of course practise also the Integrated Reasoning, which is not included in the OG 12. So it would be advisable to go through both resources.

Regarding the integrated reasoning section, according to recent reviews the schools are not quite considering their scores, the reason is that they still don't know how to evaluate the IR score. So according to me you need to prepare as usual the quant and verbal sections, and don't waste much time on IR part for now.
By the way i am also giving my exam late in november this year.
Best of luck for your preparations! :) :)
