A - numbers of is incorrect
C, D and E incorrectly say that the trucks themselves came off the
assembly lines.

Hence B

My vote for A

You need "contend that". So discard D and E.

C compares plural "metabolisms" with the metabolism of warm-blooded
mammal. Incorrect.

B uses incorrect verb "were" for metabolism.

As many as would be the correct idiom....hence that rules out E and D....

C- the number of trucks by themselves is awkward and wrong usage...

Between A and B I would choose B....A makes it misleading

I don't think there is any word such as "metabolisms", which rules out C & D
E - the use of the word "that" is critical which this choice omits
Between A & B - I would choose A

do you have to always use "As Many As" ? there is no way to only have one "As" and be correct?
