I agree with Brent that RC strategy will be different for different people, but there are a few things that are universal:
- read for STRUCTURE. Don't get bogged down in the details. Just ask yourself - do I understand this well enough to explain it to a 5th grader? Can I identify the main idea and any major shifts?
- when you're going through the answer choices, focus on proving answers WRONG, not right. Focus on the specific language of each answer choice, and avoid choices that are too extreme, or that are subtly different from the passage.
