From Question

x/y + 1 <1> x/y <0> since x is negative y has to be positive to satisfy this condition A is TRUE

x/y + 1 > 0 => x/y > -1 condition B is TRUE

1/x + 1/y can be written as (x+y)/xy = (x/y + 1) * 1/x

Frm question (x/y + 1) is + ve so we need to evaluate only 1/x. since x is -ve, 1/x is negative

so, (1/x + 1/y ) < 0 TRUE
