Your choice of school depends on many factors, including a lot of personal ones like location/geography, class size, etc. And, first and foremost are your career goals - what do you want to do with an MBA? Having those defined in advance will help you both in selecting the schools and in articulating to the adcom why you want to go there. A high GPA is definitely a help. If you don't plan on retaking the GMAT then you might be a good fit for US schools like Tippie or Mendoza. There are a lot more that could be good candidates for you, too, in the US, as well as Canada and Europe (not sure where you're thinking of going to school). You can examine a school's 80% range of accepted students' GMAT scores to determine if they would be a good target for you. The best way to choose a school though is based on those personal questions such as what type of school would you do best at and most importantly, what do you want to do with your MBA.

Yes, U of Houston Bauer could be a good target for you, based on your GMAT score.

In Canada, you might consider University of Alberta, or University of British Columbia Sauder. Both of these have GMAT score ranges that would be appropriate for you.

Of course, a lot more goes into selecting a school than just whether your GMAT score is a match - make sure that you are also researching schools based on your career goals, too!

The Canadian schools are often less competitive than many US schools, simply because there's less demand -- there aren't many Americans interested in going north for their MBA (it's kinda cold up there, don't ya know!)
