What is the sum of the different positive prime factors of 550?
a. 10
b. 11
c. 15
d. 16
e. 18

What is the quickest way to solve this problem? Please help. Answer e. Thanks.

550 is very easy no to break.. I will suggest write 550 as 11*5*5*2 and sum 11, 5 and 2 = 18

Yes, I approached it the same way and believe that is the shortest way of doing this.

550 = 55 x 10 = 5 x 11 x 2 x 5

5 + 11 + 2 = 18
