piku9290,

Thanks for your post.

Given your interest in the energy and manufacturing industries and your profile information, a few schools I suggest you research further are: Purdue University (Krannert), Michigan State (Broad), Texas A&M (Mays), Indiana University (Kelley), and Rice University (Jones). Your profile should be competitive at these programs and they all have a manufacturing and/or energy focus.

Your people management experience will be a great differentiator in the process, so I suggest highlighting it on your resume and in your essays. Also, I suggest further refining your career goals to ensure that they are consistent - you want your short-term goal to help support your long-term goal (whereas they currently appear unrelated).

Good luck!

Best,
Heidi

hi Heidi ,

Thank you madam for your valuable feedback and for suggesting me b-schools . I am also aware that my long term goal is nowhere close to my short term goal. But my long term career plan is more a vision than a goal that i developed in past 4 year from my own personal experiences and I have a good story to say to adcom .

Also , I would like you to brief me my competitiveness in the following schools
1> Carngie Mellon - Tepper
2> Pennsylvania State _ Smeal
3> National University of Singapore
4> Ohio State University

I would describe Tepper as a "reach" school, so about a 1 in 5 chance of acceptance. I'm not familiar enough with the other schools to give a detailed evaluation of your competitiveness.
