I believe the correct answer is A. This is a modifier question. The beginning of the sentence is a modifying clause, immediately following the comma should be the subject that the clause is modifying. The clause is modifying Julia, and choice A is the only choice that has Julia immediately after the comma.

where did you get this question from? gmat questions usually have a 2-3 split between the answer choices. In this case only one choice followed the most basic of rules, hence this was very easy to crack. I wouldn't suggest practicing these type of questions.

In the long run you're right, but if this problem gave the poster difficulty, this may be the appropriate difficulty level at this time.
