Analysis of an issue

"Allowing indivivuals to work flexible schedules is an idea that makes sense."

Many companies often face the dilemma of deciding whether to let employees use the traditional method of working from office or the exercise the more flexible option of working from home. Though working from home has many advantages, including letting indivivuals spend more time with family, face lesser commute, and take fewer leaves from work due to sickness or other personal reasons, the idea of working from office seems to make more sense.

Firstly and most importantly, most employees function better is an environment where they are being supervised. If the boss is around, people will concentrate more on their work and will waste lesser amount of time. When people know that they being watched, they will be more careful about how they are perceived by others and will focus more on their work.

Secondly, since people are generally required to work in teams, an office environment enables people to coordinate work easily with other team members. As opposed to this, people working from home are in an isolated environment with modes of interaction limited to the phone or emails. In cases where face-to-face meetings are required, a traditional working environment is definitely more viable. Also, in an office environment, other team members are available for help and problem solving. Other technical resources, which employees otherwise may not have access to, are available at work.

In conclusion, the option of working from office clearly seems to make much more sense than the option of working from home. Though there are aguments for both sides, the traditional option from working from office allows people to be happier and more productive than people working from home.
