I just took the GMAT yesterday and did terribly. My score was a 510 with 29 in Verbal and 31 in Quant. My goal is to get at least a 620.

I completed the Manhattan GMAT course a few weeks ago and studied intensely for the past few weeks. My average score on the Manhattan GMAT practice exams was around 600. My main focus on studying for the past few weeks was the verbal and quant problems in the Manhattan GMAT books. I can honestly say that I can pretty much complete all of the problems in these books, so I was confident going into the actual exam. Needless to say, I was shocked and very disappointed when I received my score yesterday.

Does anyone have any advice on what to study and/or how to study for the next few weeks. I obviously need to take the test again, and at this point I'm not even sure how soon I should schedule my next test because of how poorly I did.

Please help! Any advice is welcome! Thank you very much.

I am in the same situation. I took my test yesterday and got a 490.. I am really bummed out. I did much better than I ever did on the verbal section, but I really really bombed the math (something like the o 20th percentile). I need to take it again and get around a 620.. so if anyone has any advice please help!

I took a Kaplan class earlier in the year, but mainly have been using OG 11 and the Official Verbal/Quant books published by GMAC. A 490 has been right around the score that I've been getting on my practice tests too. I just don't know what to do at this point and I'm very frustrated!
