PLEASE HELP !!!scoring in 540-560 range need to get over 600

Hi, I am studying for GMAT exam for couple of months and planning to my final exam on March 31, so far I attempted GMATPREP and MGMAT practice test with following results :

GMAT PREP 1 - 560
mgmat - 540

After analyzing the MGMAT results, I realize that I did not solve questions in the 600-700 and 700-800 range correctly.I am weak in solving tough questions.

I am looking for GMAT score around 600+ and I am also looking for tough questions in math and verbal sections.

where can i find those questions???

For last few days I am planning to concentrate solving tough questions and taking few practice exams...

I am kind of confused and not sure if i make improvement of 50+ point in next 10 days.

Looking for any advice or comments

Have you tried working on problems out of the OG? The questions range from easiest to hardest in terms of level of difficulty for each section, so you should be able to get plenty of practice!

Jim,

Thanks for the reply.
I was able to get to most of the OG-MATH-REVIEW problems with 80% hit rate.I still have to work out some last few maths problems from OG-11 guide.Compare to math my verbal was weak, so I was concentrating on verbal.

I also downloaded some of the hardest problem posted on this forum.
Are they worth looking?

My new plan is to solve remaining problems from OG-11 avoid stupid mistakes and attempt couple of tests on Sunday.If I get good score on this Sunday then then only I will give my final test on March 31.

I am hoping i don't have to reschedule my exam.

Hey vijshinde29,

50 points in 10 days would be a heck of a jump. I hope you get to tell that story

For additional difficult math questions, look at the exams from this forum or look at the Advanced Speed Drills section of the Official Guide Companion from gmatfix.

If your verbal lags far behind your math, it seems to me that you may reap more benefits by shoring up your verbal skills though.

I would say that no, it's not worth doing the hardest problems. This is a mistake that lots of students make; you need to study at your level. Since you're scoring in the 500s, you need to study problems in the 500-600 range, not the 700-800 range. You won't see those horribily difficult problems on the test, so why study them?

yeah, it make sense.I am going to first finish OG math problem and then spent time solving other problems.
