Hi guys,

I have taken several practice tests and each time the same question remains. Although I always get around 15 errors both in the Math and Verbal section, my score in Math is always much higher than in Verbal.

For example in my last GMATPrep test, I got 640 (Q44, V32) but when looking at the detail score, I add 17 errors out of 37 in Q and 15 out of 41 in Verbal.

How do you explain that my score in Verbal is lower than in Math then ?!!

Is that because Verbal questions don't earn as much points than Math questions???

Thanks a lot for your help.

Your verbal raw score will be weighted more heavily than the math raw score. In general, it isn't a very useful strategy to examine your hit rates--focus instead on understanding your errors!

Good luck!
