Hello. I was hoping if you could tell me if I have an approrpiate view of what should be "reach" and "realistic" choices for my profile. And based on my profile if said schools were not realistic, provide a suggestion as to what schools may be an initial fit.

Major: Finance
The University of Texas

active member political group at university
co-chair of poverty awareness/volunteer development initiative
interfraternity council delegate for fraternity

Post-Undergrad

2 months working at an Indian NGO which aims at financing/building schools in villages (tought basic hygene seminars to children at school)

Hi Texas,

I think you're spot on with your school selection. In addition to your solid GPA and GMAT, it sounds like you've had a solid track record at work and have some interesting extracurricular activities. Remember, the key to getting into bschool is to put together solid applications from data forms to essays to recommenders. As you may know, there are many applicants with similar backgrounds in finance, it will be essential for you to differentiate your application. The best way to do this is through your essays. Please feel free to send your resume to [email protected] if you'd like a detailed and free assessment of your profile.

Best,

Stacey
