Hi,
I'm planning to apply for the HBS 2+2 program this year, could you please evaluate my profile??

I'm Indian/female currently in my final year under grad, IT major, in a decent college.

GPA : 8.7 (for like 6 semesters, i'm yet to write the other 2)
i'm like among the top 15. I got 9 pt GPA 3 times, but kind of messed up 1 sem with an 8.

GRE: 770 quants and 460 verbal, AWA:3.5 ( is it necessary to take GMAT??? the website said GMAT or GRE.. but i guess everyone has taken up GMAT, so a bit worried with that)

12th : 91%

10th: 86%

PROJECTS/ WORK EX:

I worked with a company in my 3rd year to create a mobile application project, which is now being used by popular NGO, for android and java phones.I also attended an Android Workshop with the company employees which was conducted by a person from Samsung. One of my recos will be from this company manager.

In my 2nd year i interned for a hardware company, handling clients mostly, and worked with assembling of hardware.

Just after my schooling I interned for a company dealing with flooring and tiles, where i helped with a project that was being launched then.

I am now currently working on two projects. One is for my final semester project on cluster evaluation and benchmarking, and another is a mobile application which i'm creating for my college so that the students can use them to access their profiles. Hopefully this one will be done before i send in my application!

EXTRA CURRICULAR:

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES:
I have participated in too many symposiums and cultural events. I am in my college debate team. Also attended an MUN in Nan-yang tech University, Singapore. I've won in debates, extempores. i am also in my college dance team.
I have organized an inter-college symposium for my college department.
In school, again i was in my school dance team and the debate teams.

SPORTS:
In my school i was the sports secretary, the basket ball captain. I have won the most promising player award 3 times for basketball, and i was the school sports champion 3 times. Being the sports sec, i single handedly had to organize and manage a lot of sports events and activities throughout my school life(especially the senior years).
I also won GOLD in the state level high jump competitions and have participated in the National level sports meet as well.

I can juggle academics and other activities quite well. In my school i was awarded the BEST ALL ROUNDER.

WHY HBS?
My cousin attended HBS, and so did her husband in 2003. So i''ve heard a lot about it from them. When i heard about this 2+2 program, it was just as if it was made for me (science background, team leader etc). Also my dad is a Stock Market consultant, like full time.So i've heard a lot from him about economy ,finance its impact and so on. Thats why i want to change fields. I would totally like into the finance or marketing field.

Also a few questions,

1- will my Indian background hurt??? a lot of applicants are indians so im a bit worried.

2-What do you think about my chance of getting in?? if i have good essays and recos.

Thanks so much!!!
