Please let me know whether I can apply for other top 10 with this profile. Also, in my startup I have never taken an official post as I am working Full Time with Teach for India and cant officially be a part of another organization. So how should I mention it in applications?

Thanks in advance

Hi sudhanshumalani,

Thanks for your post.

I overall like your mix of schools for your profile. Your GMAT score will put you right at the school average and you have differentiated work experience with your start-up and Teach for India.

It will be important to link your Teach for American experience with your overall career goals or otherwise develop a strong reasoning for this path after working at TATA Motors.

Regarding your start-up, you can mention your co-founder role on your resume even if you do not play a part in the day-to-day operations. You'll want to be clear about your role in founding the company and also your current role (advisor?).

Your career goal of management consulting is consistent with the recruiting profiles for these schools, but it is a very common interest among applications. You can differentiate by researching the firms where you would like to work and decide on two that would be the best fit for you. You can also differentiate through your long term goals as well.

Hope that helps! Please feel free to forward your resume to [email protected] for a detailed and free profile evaluation.

Best,
Heidi
