Your plan is thoughtful and on the right track. You are correct that your career thus far is the largest weakness in your application and I am glad to see you have some plans to work for the next year. I also think you might be served well working with an admissions consultant since your background could raise concerns with many schools. You might consider finding some temp or contract work to boost the resume as well. Perhaps you have been doing this but did not include it in your post? The best thing you can do is work in some capacity (paying or volunteer) between now and starting business school.
