1) My wish list is: Chicago, Kellogg, Stern, LBS. Do you think I have concrete chances to get admitted to one of these programs? I’ll apply next Fall for class starting in 2009.

2) Any suggestion about second tier schools? I’m interested in a school with a solid academic program (mainly finance oriented) and also a strong sense of community. What about Tepper and McCombs?

Cheers, qwerty01

Dear qwerty01,

I do think you have a good chance of being admitted to one of your targeted schools, especially if you apply by the first round. As for backup schools, I think Tepper and McCombs are both great choices. You might also research UNC-Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler) and NYU (Stern). There are so many great programs out there; perhaps someone else has other suggestions?

Good luck,
Lisa
