is there a typo with the answer/explanation? how is the range for the gasoline 11.4-12.5? shouldn't it be 11.5-12.4? same thing with the miles. or am i missing something here... thanks guys.

On a recent trip, Cindy drove her car 290 miles, rounded to the nearest 10 miles, and used 12 gallons of gasoline, rounded to the nearest gallon. The actual number of miles per gallon that Cindy's car got on this trip must have been between

A) 290/12.5 and 290/11.4

B) 295/12 and 284/11.4

C) 284/12 and 295/12

D) 284/12.5 and 295/11.4

E) 295/12.5 and 184/11.4

i would think that her miles range is from 285-294 and her gas range is from 11.5-12.4. so, her lowest mpg should be 285/12.4 and her highest possible mpg 294/11.5. can anyone help me out?

.. yeah seems like a typo to me too .. the range wuld be between 286 -294 for the distance and the range for the gallons wuld be between 11.6 and 12.4 .. so the range for number of miles per gallon shuld be between 286/12.4 and 294/11.6 ..
