The answer should be E. It correctly compares composition of soil on both the planets.

i would go for option A, the construction in E: our planet's soil composition sounds wordier

Just a general question about this one - would it be correct if it were to say "that of our own planet"? Is "that on" correct? I have trouble distinguishing what's the proper rule re: "that of" and can't really find much online.
