In a certain test, a student must answer 8 out of 10 questions. How many choices are there if atleast 4 of the first 5 questions must be answered ?

5c3 * 5c5 + 5c4*5c4 = 10 + 25 = 35

so one can either 4 of the first 5 and 4 of the second 5.
OR, one can answer 5 of the first five and 3 of the rest.
