Penalty for not completing Maths session

Hi Gurus,

I am planning to attend the GMAT by first week July 2011. Have some questions:

- While attending the second practice test from GMAT Prep software, I wasn't able to complete the Maths section (I completed 36/37 questions). My total score was computed as 640. How will GMAT calculate the penalty for not completing a section? What would have been my score had I completed the Maths session?

- I only have the OG v12 with me. So going to register for Beat the GMAT Practice Questions pack. Can someone who has used this tell me how good this is?

- What is the best source for complete online CAT practice tests? I didn't see complete practice test on Beat the GMAT Practice Questions pack.

Hi,

There is a penalty for not completing the test. Not sure how much it is, but everyone stresses on completing the section as the penalty could make or break a score.

You want more tests? Just look to the right of this page and you will see lot of free tests. Also, get one of the Manhattan guides ( MGMAT SC is the best book for learning SC.) and you will get 6 tests with it (1 free plus 5 with the book).

The penalty will be dependent on your entire test - there is a dip in scores for people who did not finish the test but the GMAT is not a point based test so you can't get an exact answer other than the fact that your score would have been higher had you finished the section well.
