Part-Time Admissions

by ajsenff » Tue Nov 03, 2009 7:50 am
Hello. I am looking for a profile evaluation about my chances of getting into the part-time programs at either Kellogg or University of Chicago, with Summer 2010 entry.

Caucasian Male
27
GMAT: 690 (Q:48-83%, V:37-80%, AWA:6.0)
Undergraduate GPA: 3.79/4.00, major in Finance
Work Experience: 4.5 years upon submission of application. 3+ years in financial consulting, tending to focus on healthcare. 1+ year in healthcare administration.
Career Goals: Want to remain in healthcare in some capacity (whether it be insurance, provider, supplier, pharma, etc.)
Why Part-Time: I enjoy my job and don't to give up 2 years of career progression. Also, I live in the Chicago area so I wouldn't have to relocate to go to a great school.

What are your thoughts about my chances of being accepted? Thanks for your help!

Dear ajsenff,

I think you have a shot at both Kellogg and Chicago's part-time programs. You have a competitive profile, so use the rest of your application to your advantage in making your case for admission. Be sure to visit both campuses and establish a rapport with the admissions offices also.

Good luck,
Lisa
