If the sum of the first n positive integers is S, what is the sum of the first n positive even integers, in terms of S

Ru sure abt the OA...I am getting 2S

assuming the numbers

1+2+3....................................n terms = S

2+4+6+8......................will be

2( 1+2+3+4...........................n terms)

which is 2S.

do let us know the OA,

Ans is C...ie 2S......becoz sum of 1st n natural no's is N(N+1) / 2 and sum of Even natural no's is N(N+1).....rt.

so , 2S will be the ans,,if iam wrong pls correct me....
