I am looking to apply to business schools in the upcoming year but have to overcome some glaring less than desirable credentials.
My undergrad GPA is a 2.8. Excuses aside I demonstrated a 3.3 gpa in my major core classes. If I were to build an "alternative transcript" - as suggested in previous threads - what are the classes that I should focus on specifically?
I have two years of work experience and have demonstrated high marks in regards to my job responsibilities. However, I worked part-time - 20+ hours/week - while attending school full time. I also had a strong internship that I consider work experience but am unsure if it qualifies as "work experience."
I will have strong letters of recommendations upon applying for b-schools.
I recently joined a local Toastmasters club and am going to pursue a leadership role within the organization.
My GMAT, I believe, is going to be the difference maker in making me a more attractive and qualified candidate.
Is Manhattan > Veritas Prep?
In sum, I am going to pursue building an "alternative transcript" to help strengthen my case, fully prepare myself for the GMAT, and participate in my local Toastmasters organization.
I guess I'm looking for suggestions as to what would be the best classes to take to build my "alternative transcript."
