The essays can come in either order, so make sure to read the prompt (and not just the topic) to make sure you know which essay you're writing.

A few years ago, I had a student who, after running the last 3/4 mile to the test center because he had a flat tire, started writing the Analysis of an Issue essay first because that is the way he had done his most recent practice tests. A few minutes into writing, he realized that he was supposed to write the Analysis of an Argument essay, and had to change gears on the fly.

It all worked out in the end - he mentioned to me after that the quant section is what actually calmed him down after a hectic beginning of the day because "hey, it's just like what I've been studying...I know this stuff!" - but he could have saved a lot of stress by checking the question type first.
