If r*= 1- (1/ r)
r*- (r-1)*= [1 - (1/r)] - [1 - 1/(r -1)]
= [(r - 1)/r] - [(r - 1 - 1)/(r - 1)]
= [(r - 1)^2 - r(r - 2)] / (r)(r - 1)
= (r^2 - 2r + 1 - r^2 + 2r) / (r)(r - 1)
= 1/ (r)(r -1)

Is it 1/r(r-1) ?? I could solve till this point... options are also not present..Please confirm
