one year MBA with GMAT score of 650

I am expecting to have GMAT score around 650 with my current prepration level.

I am a working professional with 5 years of work experience as an engg.

Can you please inform/guide me of my chances of getting into 1 year full time MBA course.
Also, a list of some business schools where I can be a fit shall be appreciated.

Dear Raj,

Generally speaking, your GMAT score is in a competitive range if it is within or above the mid-50% range. So when researching possible schools, that will give you an idea of where your GMAT will be competitive. Since decisions are made on more than a GMAT, you must also submit a set of well-written essays, good recommendations and a transcript showing academic aptitude to give yourself the best chance for admission.

I encourage you to visit our sticky on school selection for tips on identifying programs that might be a good fit for you. There are many websites that offer information on programs and ways to run queries on what programs match certain criteria. You might use these to help narrow down what one year options are available.

Queen's University seems like a perfect fit. The program is 1 year long, and was ranked by business week as the best non-US program in the world.

Your GMAT seems to be competitive there too:

You might also wanna apply to Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. They have one of the top 10 MBA programs in Canada, and their program is 1 year long too. This could be your safe bet here.

Most US programs are two years long, so you might wanna look at the non-US ones.
