Several financial officers of the company spoke on condition that they not be named in the press reports.

A. that they not be named
B. that their names will not be used
C. that their names are not used
D. of not having their names
E. of not naming them

That's (A) what I thought too. But in the set 16 answers I see it as E at one place and C at the other.

Any explanations ??

First of all, what is the source of this question ?

Several financial officers of the company spoke on condition that they not be named in the press reports.

Condition needs to be introduced by a conjunction, which is THAT in this case. So eliminate D & E

SPOKE is in the past tense, so eliminate B and C.

Is it a subjunctive form ? MAYBE

Since they spoke but who knows, god knows, their names were whether used or not

Its Q17 & Q24 in Set 16.
I believe Set 0-30 are these sets of question papers for verbal and quant.
Hence the term Set xx is a established Jargon in GMAT talk.

I am not confident on the OA, so if we can come up with the correct answer, that would be great.

I'm confident about the answer and it is (A).

This sentence is an example of subjunctive mood.
