"One of the things.." is there a consensus on whether this is plural or singular. I've read two different answers from the guides on this page.

What about fractions and other indefinite pronouns
"Half of the things...."
"Among the things...."

yeah post SC question...i have rarely seen that as right answer in GMAT. GMAT rarely uses "things."

does it matter? "One" + "of"+ Plural noun => what should go after plural or singular verb?

Thats the question. I've seen exact opposite opinion on this within the some of the notes in the resources (sahil vs Raj) and even between kaplan and mgmat. Can someone who knows shed some light on this.
