The answer is B.

One of the - requires a plural verb.

use of as vs like, as is used in a clause and like is used in a noun.

Therefore, B fits the bill.

mb the question is, what does "that..." actually modifies.
For me, it modifies ALL the factors, not only one.

Anyway, I picked C after 15 sec of observation.

It is B.

"that" modifies the noun preceding it, which is "factors" so therefore we need "keep".

We also need "as" since we are linking a phrase.

hello friends, I know this for sure

there are only 2 cases:

one of the nounS that ...plural verb

only one of the nounS that... singular verb

there is only 2 cases because the logics permit only 2 cases.

I read this in the book: "Greg reference manual" which you can download from internet.

@GMAT destroyer,

I know three rules as of now(but if you see the sentence carefully, the usage seems to be logical). Those are related to relative clause (that/which)

one of the X(singular/plural) that/which verb(singular/pluaral)
only one of the X(singular/plural) that/which verb(singular/plural)
the only one of the X(singular/plural) that/which verb(singular)

So IMO answer should be B.

As stated by you, the explanation can be as follows,

One of the factors that keep -> one of the <plural> that <plural>
only one of the factors that keep -> one of the <plural> that <singular>

Why it is "B"?

Please check and explain the above in detail

the only one of noun which IS

one of the nounS which are

logically, which in the first case refers to "only one" and which in the second case refer to "nounS"

there is no other case because other cases are not logci

we can not say "the only one of the nounS which ARE"

a, one of those who ARE

B, THE only one of of those who IS ( needs both THE and ONLY)

but,

only one of those who ARE ( because "only one" dose not mean that there is no second one)

in short you can remember that "the only one of " (both "the" and "only") gose with SINGULAR VERB after who/which. other cases gose with plural
