Named for the capital of Belgium, Brussels sprouts, which at its fullest growth scarcely exceeds a large walnut in size, are immature buds shaped like tiny cabbages.

A] which at its fullest growth scarcely exceeds a large walnut in size

B] which at its fullest growth scarcely exceed a large walnut in size

C] which at their fullest growth scarcely exceeds a large walnut in size

D] which at their fullest growth scarcely exceed a walnut’s large size

E] which at their fullest growth scarcely exceed a large walnut in size

The OA is E.
Got stuck between the options D and E. But focus on the 'a' article as it specifically says that a large walnut is compared and the overall size of all the walnuts.
See this properly, a small alphabet deciding the correct answer for the SC!!!
