OG12 GMAT Error Log

by alicia » Thu Sep 23, 2010 8:50 pm
Hello,

I am having a problem with the excel file because as I update the grid with my answers each day, nothing changes in the performance summary tab. I thought that this tab was linked to the answer grid and would automatically update when I input my answers into the grid. Is this the case? Please advise/ help.

Thank you, in advance, for your response.

Alicia

Hi Alicia,

I think there are still some bugs with the excel file.
Sorry about that.

Sincerely,
Brent

Thanks for your response.

So does the functionality with the performance summary not work? Is there anything that I can do? (download a new file or something)

Hi Alicia,

I am not sure which version of excel you are using, so I will post how to update the data for Excel 2003 and 2007.

The Performance Summary tab is a pivot table and will not update automatically (unless we put a macro in the spreadsheet). To refresh the data in the Performance Summary follow these steps:

Excel 2003:
1) Go to the performance summary tab
2) Click inside the pivot table
3) On the Pivot Table Toolbar, click refresh data Image

Excel 2007:
1) Go to the performance summary tab
2) Select the data ribbon at the top of the page
3) Click Refresh All

I saw another user say he/she had this error as well, but did not see an answer (I may have missed it). I cannot edit the Error Log because it's protected. However, when I try to unprotect it, I need a password. Is there a password to unprotect the sheet.

Thanks in advance!
