113. Visitors to the park have often
looked up into the leafy canopy and saw
monkeys sleeping on the branches whose arms and legs hang like socks on a clothesline.



(A) saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs hang
(B) saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs were hanging
(C) saw monkeys sleeping on the branches, with arms and legs hanging
(D) seen monkeys sleeping on the branches, with arms and legs hanging
(E) seen monkeys sleeping on the branches, whose arms and legs have hung


When do we use ING can you tell me the rules for each option

IMO: D
' ,whose' refer to the noun befor it ==> the options have ',whose' refer to the branches which are not correct ==> eliminate A,B,E
as for 'verb tense agreement' we have 'have looked up and have seen' eliminate C as well(eliminate A,B,C which uses 'saw' instead of 'seen'.. but we already eliminated A,B)
the only correct choice is D used ',with' as a modifier correctly since this modifies the entire clause

I would go with C. Meharsa, could you please explain the reason to remove C? I did not understand subject-Verb agreement logic here.
