What is the tenths digit in the decimal representation of a certain number?
(1) The number is less than 1\3.
(2) The number is greater than 1\4.

My doubt: what is tenths digit?

0.XYZ

X is the 10ths digit of the decimal representation
Y is the 100ths digit
Z is the 1000th digit

Example: 1.23---2 is the 10ths digit of the decimal representation.

Tenths digit is the number that comes immediately after the decimal.

.27 will have tenths digit of 2

.30 -> tenths digit 3

2 different answers possible

Always when a specific value is asked in a DS question the statements individually or together must lead us in to one definite answer

Hence E)
