In 'A' don't you guys think that it should be 'the army of terra-cotta warriors was created' because the army didn't created anything but it was created by someone else. I am not feeling comfortable with this type of construction "The X created to do something is Y". Is 'created' used as past participle here? Is such type of construction correct?

Please clear my doubt.

Thanks,
Vaishali

No I don't think 'was' should be added because then you would end up with two independent clauses seprated by just a comma.

yes, this construction is correct. "created" is a past partciple, used as an adjective to qualify X, the subject. "is" is the verb of the construction.

Rivaling the pyramids of egypt as an achievement, more than 2000 years ago,700000 artisans ....did some thing.

When we are comparing achievements what's the point in describing terraa-cotta army?
