OA C. Though it is an old post, but need more clarity on why not B.

The reason for why not B is that B is extremely strong statement.
(B) Do a large percentage of the residents of Morganville currently do almost all of their shopping at stores in Morganville?

Even if people do some of the shopping that increases the profits of those shops so as to avoid shops from bankruptcies that this would not help. So better question is what proportion of people do shopping from morganville and this is what C says. B is infact as strong statement build on C.
