IS N AN INTEGER?
(1) N^2 IS AN INTEGER
(2) SQRT(N) IS AN INTEGER

ANSWER IS B.

MY QUESTION IS , WHY CANT THE ANSWER BE D viz EITHER OF THE CHOICES.CANT WE ANSWER THIS QUESTION USING CHOICE (1) ALSO.

I FEEL IF N^2 IS AN INTEGER, THEN N HAS TO BE AN INTEGER. I CANT THINK OF ANY NON INTEGER VALUES WHOSE SQUARE IS AN INTEGER.

Consider the sqroot(2), it is not an integer.

But sqroot(2)^2 = 2

Thus, n does not have to be an integer, it can be the square root of an integer
