I am on Day 7 of the Beat the GMAT Study guide and while I really appreciate the game plan, the lack of explanation from the Official GMAT Guide is really tripping me up. I am not really able to full grasp how to strategically answer questions. I more so feel like I am just coping off of someone's test so to speak. How do I get better explanations for the OG? I hear there is a book. Does anyone know it?

One option is the search the BTG forums.
Every OG question has been answered multiple times, so you often get to see a nice variety of approaches.

Cheers,
Brent

Hi Brent,

How is Official guide Companion by Manhattan GMAT for explanation purpose. I am planning to buy one considering that it may save a lot of time searching for answers given that every answer needs to be reviewed.

Thanks,
Manu

I'm a big fan of the Manhattan prep books. That's why I made them one of the resources in the Guide.
You can't go wrong with them.

Cheers,
Brent
