I would choose B because of parallelism issues in the other answer choices
A- you must use the same relative modifier to begin each parallel clause (this sentence either needs to begin each clause with "that" or with "where"
B- correct
C- relative modifier's must be the same (either "which" twice or "where" twice)
D- Same issues as in A and C
E- you would need to insert "has" at the end of the answer choice for it to make sense.

1]that has internet access in all common areas and where
correct
2]where internet access is in all common areas and where
incorrect IMO the linking verb is needs a main verb
3]which has internet access in all common areas and where
which is a non essential modifier and hence needs a comma
4]that internet access is available in all common areas and where
lacks llelism , here though the error of verb of option 2 is corrected but new error of llelism is making it wrng
5]that has internet access in all common areas and that
the two clauses separated by and is not llel
IMO A

IMO B. We use the relative modifier "where" to describe a place. In this qs only B uses it.vscid wrote:The new office complex will be a place that has internet access in all common areas and where informal meeting areas stimulate communication among various departments.

Can't we describe place using "which"?soumyopriyosaha wrote:IMO B. We use the relative modifier "where" to describe a place. I think we can use "which" with a "comma" before it to describe a place.
Egypt, which is land of pyramids, is my favorite place.
Since there is no "which with a comma" option stream we can eliminate the choices
"The new office complex will be a place ,which has internet access in all common areas and where informal meeting areas stimulate communication among various departments. "
-----can make a difference.

The GMAT is indeed adaptable. Whenever I answer RC, it proficiently 'adapts' itself to mark my 'right' answer 'wrong'.
