Problem 189 pg. 247.

If x>0 , x/50 + x/25 is what percent of x.
I know how to simplify and get 3x/50. From this point in every situation can I divide and get the answer such as in this 3/50 = 0.06 = 6% or am I suppose to know the percent means 100 and multiply the numerator and denominater by 2 in this case to get 100 on the bottom and then solve? :wink:

I believe that the best way to do it is whichever way pops up first :)
Both ways are very good and will lead you to the answer in no time, so IMHO they're both as good.
